The Freestone Retreat Center
This setting for the Freestone Retreat Center is a historic and pastoral valley only 90 minutes from San Francisco or Oakland. Almost every house in the town of Freestone is on the Historic Register. The Freestone Retreat Center is a farmhouse over 100 years old that has been lovingly cared for and maintained. Now it is offered as a sanctuary for people longing to reconnect with their own sweet and serene nature.
What Do We Do?
The center offers non-sectarian meditation workshops, courses, hatha yoga, chanting and other (non-residential) events. For information on events, see the calendar of events.
For those who would like to create a rejuvenation get-away, there are several fine bed-and-breakfasts and small hotels within a 10 minute drive. Excellent beaches are also only 10 minutes away. Nearby towns include Occidental, Bodega Bay and Sebastopol.
